Welcome to Madiba Prep Middle School of Social Justice and Innovation.
The Madiba experience is so much more than a middle school preparatory education. A Madiba Prep graduate is ready for the rigors of high school, but more importantly, they become someone whose heart and mind are open to the world around them. Our scholars develops a deep awareness of their gifts and talents, they learn to think critically about the world around them, and as a result, they understand the importance of being model citizens.
Our commitment at Madiba Prep is to provide a safe, positive, intellectual learning environment that will empower students to become creative problem solvers, critical thinkers, and inspired learners, prepared for the opportunities and challenges of life in the twenty-first century. We value and challenge each student and provide opportunities for success. As a school community we equip our students with the tools to be collaborative workers, self-directed learners, information processors, effective communicators, and complex thinkers.
Our scholars' success is the center of all we do.
We know that our scholars face a dynamic and constantly changing society. It is an exciting time, but it can also be challenging to balance the academic workload and social demands while focusing on personal wellness. I encourage each student to:
- Communicate with others in a respectful and meaningful way.
- Pose questions, examine possibilities, and challenge yourself to find solutions.
- Surround yourself with positive people.
- Make positive choices related to physical and mental wellness; and
- Contribute to our school community in a collaborative, responsible manner.
Sincerely,
Anne Marie Malcolm, Principal
